Greenhouse Kit Installation Options - Building a Greenhouse
Owner/Self Install: (26' Domes and smaller)
The owner can install the Growing Dome by following the instructions
in the manual and installation videos provided with each Growing Dome. We recommend
that at least 2 people participate in the installation, though some
tasks can be done alone.
We tell customers to plan on your self-installation to take at least twice as long as our crew installation because of the learning curve involved. We recommend that you have at least basic construction skills (such as experience working a drill, saw, and hammer).
Supervised Install: (Supervisor +1 Crew Member Required for 33' Growing Dome)
We can provide a Certified Supervisor to work with the
owner and owner-hired crew to install the Growing Dome kit. Supervisor labor
rate is $300 per 8 hour day. Installation usually takes 2-5 days depending
on weather, Growing Dome size, number and expertise of crew. See table below for rates. The supervisor
works as well (try to keep up with him). Separate travel, lodging and per diem costs for the supervisor also apply.
Full Crew Install: (Required for 42'
Domes)
We can provide a Certified Growing Dome Installation Crew to assemble your Growing Dome in 2-5 days,
which is the easiest option for many owners. The cost varies between $850 and $3445 depending on the Growing Dome size. See table below for rates. Separate travel, lodging and per diem costs for the crew members also apply. Installation of some packages and upgrades is additional (see table below). NOTE: These figures are only estimates, and may vary with actual installation costs.This does not include greenhouse kit delivery or crew travel. It is more economical for an outside contractor to do the leveling and excavation, so we do not include site preparation or excavation in these rates.The bed design and installation is also not part of the kit or installation cost, but Growing Spaces can be contracted to do so for an additional fee.
