Installation Options

Complete Owner Installation:
The owner can install a Growing Dome by following the instructions in the manual and installation video supplied with each dome. We recommend that at least a party of 2 people do the installation, though some tasks can be done alone.

Supervised Installation:
Growing Spaces can provide a supervisor to work with the owner and owner-hired crew to install the dome. A supervisor costs $300 per 8 hour day depending on size of dome and supervisor availability. Installation usually takes 2-3 days depending on weather, dome size, number and expertise of the crew. The supervisor works as well. (Try to keep up with him.) This does not include delivery/travel costs, lodging and food arrangements.

Complete Growing Spaces Installation:
Growing Spaces can provide a full crew to build your Growing Dome, which is the easiest option for many owners. Depending on the dome size the standard installation cost is $750 to $4950. Installation Standard Costs
for Growing Spaces Crew

The following charges are for the installation of the basic dome structure by Growing Spaces, and so do not include, site preparation or excavation. It is more economical for an outside contractor to do the leveling and excavation than the Growing Spaces crew. The bed design and installation is also not part of the kit or installation cost, but Growing Spaces can be contracted to do so at additional costs.

• Delivery: truck and trailer: $.60 per mile each way. This comes from the IRS calculation of $0.55 per mile to run a vehicle which includes gas, insurance, depreciation, wear and tear, etc., plus $0.05 per mile for the trailer.
  Time and distance figures are retrieved from www.mapquest.com.
• $11/hr/person each way for the certified installer and crew members.
• Per Diem: $25 per day, which enables them to buy food when they are traveling.
• For journeys longer than 10 hours we need motel accommodations which will be billed at the actual cost. Two crew members per room.
• Owner is responsible for accommodations during the building time.
• Owner can also be responsible for food for the crew during the build. Otherwise, there will be a per diem charge of $25 per person per day.
